Principals and staff of Wagner, Burke & Barnes, LLP approach each engagement with the objective of helping the client realize their own goals and maximize their financial success. We have a track record of providing sound business advice to our clients. The vast majority of our new business comes to us through referrals from existing clients, which indicates that our philosophy has served our clients well.

Our principals have worked in private accounting during their respective careers and understand the day-to-day challenges our clients face. Such experience is invaluable. We have been on the other side of the fence. We pride ourselves in understanding the needs of our clients and the relative value of the services we provide.

Memberships

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) – national, professional organization for Certified Public Accountants.  The AICPA establishes professional standards; assists members in continually improving their professional conduct, performance and expertise; and monitors such performance to enforce current standards and requirements.

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) – founded in 1977 to establish a voluntary quality assurance program within the AICPA.  The key element in the program is a mandatory peer review every three years for each firm, the results of which are available to the public.  PCPS develops methods to enhance the quality of CPA practices to safeguard the public interest.

Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants - a not-for-profit professional association for certified public accountants with a membership base of nearly 8,300. Though most of the members are in the State of Colorado, it also has members worldwide. 

The West Chamber Serving Jefferson County - exists for the success of business. Supports and promotes member businesses and provide opportunities for business growth. The West Chamber is all about business doing business with business.

Special District Association - exists to preserve and enhance the legal and political environment for the existence and successful operation of the special district form of government, and to assist special districts to operate efficiently and appropriately.
